We made it to Zhytomyr. We didn't sleep at all on the way so we are so tired. Liz and I are not a good combination when we are sleepy. We keep getting the giggles at very bad times. Our flight was good but when we got to the airport one of our suitcases was 65 pounds. So, we started stuffing things in our carryons trying to eliminate 15 lbs and we did it! Jody and David would have both been horrified by the scene we created. I think people were cheering for us! The lady at the counter told us to take out the peanut butter which weighed 4 lbs. We asked if it was considered a liquid but she said no that it would be fine in the carryon. The security guy thought that it was a liquid, so they threw it in the trash. I was bringing it for Natalie because they don't have it here. Oh well! The apartment we stayed in last time was booked for tonight so we had to get another one. They told Natalie that they had a VIP quality apartment available (see pictures below :) We had to meet the owner somewhere so that he could show us where it is so he hopped in the car with us. He was probably the worst smelling human on the planet so we had to hold our breath the entire way. It was probably good that we had to hold our breath because we were fighting to hold back the giggles. We came to the mall for dinner and bought some candy at the grocery store. We have to get up early in the morning to start on all of our paperwork. We are trying to get everything done as fast as possible. We will go pick the kids up tomorrow afternoon and I think we are going to eat dinner with Yarik and Yura, the older brothers. Right now we can't wait to get in bed! Our Ukrainian phone number is still the same (top of the blog). Here are a few pictures from today:
Leaving San Antonio. Most of this is gifts and things for the kids at the orphanage so we will travel much lighter on the way home.
This is at the airport in Frankfurt. There were tons of people riding bikes doing their jobs.
This is the candy that we brought for Natalie from America. She loves candy just like we do!
This is the VIP apartment. Yes, those are our sheets hanging outside and they are not clean.
I think this is what qualifies the apartment as VIP. We will let you know how it works. The shower takes up so much room, there is barely room for the sink and toilet.
Isn't that funny that "Cole" is written on the wall in the stairwell?
Playground outside our apartment
A typical Ukrainian beauty at the mall
Your shower looks like it might be some method of time travel...maybe that's why it's VIP. :)

Sandra - you should also be slightly jealous of the toilet situation here. Let's just say that I have "stage fright" if you know what I mean! Liz seems to be doing just fine!
